Despite ongoing global uncertainty, travel demand has remained resilient in 2025, according to a recent survey of 444 travel advisors from Nexion Travel Group in the U.S. and Canada. Conducted in April, the poll revealed that bookings remain steady and that most advisors have not seen a significant drop in client activity or an increase in cancellations.

When changes to travel plans do occur, advisors cite economic uncertainty (36%), geopolitical concerns (29%), and shifts in discretionary spending (27%) as the primary factors. However, these challenges have not significantly affected overall business, reflecting travelers' continued desire to explore the world despite broader concerns.

According to Jackie Friedman, President of Nexion Travel Group, clients are actively booking both leisure and business travel, and Nexion advisors are managing a diverse range of itineraries. “Steady demand” has been reported for everything from vacations and cruises to corporate travel, with clients valuing professional guidance and the reassurance of having an expert to call when needed.

The core clientele for most Nexion advisors falls between 46 and 60 years old, followed by travelers aged 61+ (30%) and 31–45 (20%). This demographic mix reflects a broad base of experienced travelers who often seek expert planning, time-saving support, and exclusive perks that only travel advisors can offer.

With nearly half of Nexion advisors boasting over 10 years of experience, clients continue to trust their advisors to deliver seamless, personalized travel experiences. Whether booking escorted tours, river cruises, or business itineraries, Nexion professionals remain essential partners in making travel stress-free and memorable in an unpredictable global landscape.
