Aguas de Ibiza Joins Spain’s Fuenso Group

Aguas de Ibiza, a member of Design Hotels, joined the Spanish hospitality group Fuenso with immediate effect. Aguas de Ibiza has become the first hotel under the newly launched hotel brand, Quilibra Hotels.

The Fuenso Group is also responsible for the hospitality brand Hospes Infinite Places. The Quilibra philosophy combines technology with a strong ecological stance, employing the latest eco-design techniques to create natural, soothing environs.

Central to the Quilibra concept is the creation of healthy relaxing atmospheres with pure air, natural light and sound-pollution control. Sustainable practices are implemented throughout the Aguas de Ibiza, from low-energy ventilation systems and electric cars to herb gardens, recycling and minimal plastic usage.

The hotel features three indoor pools, all with sub-aquatic sound systems at the newly opened Bodyna spa, a wellness center dedicated to the therapeutic properties of sea water, and the Senzone restaurant offering traditional Ibizan food with a modern twist.

This new five-star hotel group will include hotels that range from 90 to 120 rooms. Following the opening of Quilibra Aguas de Ibiza, the second Quilibra property will open in Murcia, Spain in 2010. Quilibra Hotels is looking to expand into Northern Europe, the Middle East and the United States.
