American Airlines Inaugurates New Routes between Miami and the Caribbean

American Airlines today inaugurates two new routes between Miami International Airport (MIA) and the Caribbean. American begins its nonstop Saturday service to Martinique Aimé Césaire International Airport (FDF) and Guadeloupe's Pointe-à-Pitre International Airport (PTP), both operated with a Boeing 737-800 aircraft with 150 seats.
"The Caribbean has always been a key market for American Airlines, and we are very excited to launch these two new routes to Martinique and Guadeloupe," said Art Torno, American's Vice President - Mexico, the Caribbean and Latin America. "These new flights will provide our customers in Martinique and Guadeloupe access to our robust oneworld® alliance network as well as increase tourism in the region."
The schedule for the new routes is as follows (all times are local):
From Miami - Martinique
Flight 474 departs MIA at 11:40 a.m.; arrives FDF at 2:35 p.m. (Saturday service)
From Martinique - Miami
Flight 589 departs FDF at 3:40 p.m.; arrives MIA at 7:05 p.m. (Saturday service)
From Miami - Guadeloupe
Flight 512 departs MIA at 11:15 a.m.; arrives PTP at 2:25 p.m. (Saturday service)
From Guadeloupe - Miami
Flight 1773 departs PTP at 3:30 p.m.; arrives MIA at 7:05 p.m. (Saturday service)
From Miami, American Airlines and American Eagle serve more than 110 destinations with more than 300 daily flights. With the addition of these two new routes to Martinique and Guadeloupe, American serves 30 destinations in the Caribbean.
