AMResorts Breaks Ground on New Cancun Hotel

AMResorts broke ground on the latest Secrets Resorts & Spas property, Secrets Silversands Riviera Cancun, which is expected to open in fall 2008. This opening represents the second Unlimited-Luxury concept resort in the Secret brand’s expansion plans.

Perched on the coast of the Yucatan Peninsula, Secrets Silversands Riviera Cancun is located on the beach of Petempich, Puerto Morelos, 15 miles from Cancun. The resort features 446 suites with ocean views, round-the-clock concierge and room service, four-poster king or two queen size beds, daily refreshed mini-bars, Jacuzzi for two, and a Secrets box for private room service.

The Preferred Club program, available exclusively at select AMResorts, provides guests an enhanced level of service with an upgraded mini-bar, VIP amenities, pillow menu, and complimentary newspaper and Internet access.

Like sister property Secrets Capri Riviera Cancun, Secrets Silversands Riviera Cancun is designed as an all-adult property where everything is included. Secrets Silversands Riviera Cancun will offer 43,000 square feet of landscaped gardens and pool areas as well as cardio-conditioning equipment at the fitness center, Jacuzzis, tennis courts, a beachfront wedding gazebo and more than 8,000 square feet of dedicated meeting and function space.

Its seven signature restaurants will feature authentic Mexican favorites, Pan-Asian fusion, fresh seafood, French specialties and Italian fare. Guests can also enjoy cocktails at any of the resort’s seven bars offering unlimited domestic and international premium brands. In addition, the property’s spa will feature both indoor and outdoor treatment rooms, sauna, steam room, Vichy and Swiss showers, Jacuzzi and beauty salon.
