The U.S. tourism team used the prestigious New York Times Show to launch yet another inviting attraction of the Antigua and Barbuda destination.

This spring promotion is intended to highlight the increase in luxury accommodations for weddings and honeymoons and has brought about significant growth in the spa and wellness options offered by the destination.

Antigua and Barbuda hosted a “Spa and Tea Lounge” at the New York Times Show in an effort to showcase the elegance and ambience that is offered by many of the destination’s resorts. Representatives from Jolly Beach Resort & Spa, Elite Island Resorts, Carlisle Bay and Hermitage Bay were on hand to promote their properties.

The US Tourism team offered show attendees an opportunity to “Escape, Relax and Be Healthy”. Self acclaimed “Antigua’s beauty surgeon”, Dave Ray, along with his massage team provided a five-minute massage experience.

Featuring a special line of herbal infusions by Chef Murphy, show attendees enjoyed a special brew of local herbs from Antigua and Barbuda. These varieties included: eucalyptus and lemon grass; tamarind and mint; soursop and rosemary; and Wadadli blend (orange, mango and pineapple).

Another major highlight of the tea tasting experience were monogrammed sugar spoons from Antigua and Barbuda.
