Barcelo Crestline Buys Hotel Portfolio from RLJ Development

The Barcelo Crestline Corp. has acquired a group of four hotels from RLJ Development. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The hotels are the Homewood Suites by Hilton, Washington, DC; the Courtyard by Marriott Providence, R.I.; the Hilton Garden Inn Chicago Downtown/Magnificent Mile; and the Courtyard by Marriott Baltimore Inner Harbor.

As part of the deal, Crestline Hotels & Resorts, a management company and Barcelo’s subsidiary, will manage the properties for Barcelo. It currently manages the Courtyard by Marriott Baltimore Inner Harbor.

“These four properties are an excellent complement to our portfolio,” said Bruce Wardinski, chairman and CEO of Barcelo Crestline, which handles a portfolio of 90 hotels.

“Each of the hotels is in a prime business destination that also benefits from leisure travelers. Crestline Hotels & Resorts brings proven experience in successfully managing hotels of this type and we look forward to a strong return on our investment,” he concluded.
