Beaches Turks & Caicos Debuts New Italian Village

Last week Beaches Turks & Caicos Resort Villages & Spa officially opened the doors to a $125 million resort expansion, the new, 162-family suite Italian Village. It is the most significant expansion project undertaken by Sandals Resorts International, parent company of Beaches Resorts, to date.
“Travel is part of the American family experience, a chance to reconnect to what matters most and we’re confident that families will love our brand new Italian Village at Beaches Turks & Caicos,” said Adam Stewart, CEO of Beaches Resorts. “While some resorts consider themselves family-friendly simply because they accept family bookings, our new Italian Village was designed and created expressly to meet the needs of families.”
The cornerstone of the expansion, the 162 two-bedroom family suites, features the latest modern amenities, providing families with a design that offers both privacy and tranquility.
In addition to family suites, the new expansion features the island’s largest freshwater pool; the Caribbean’s largest whirlpool; a dedicated lobby; five additional gourmet restaurants, for a total of 16; a retail shopping center; and new amenities geared towards teens, including DJ-training sessions at Scratch DJ Academy and tailored spa treatments at the Red Lane Spa.
This March the resort will also debut a newly renovated Pirate’s Island Waterpark, which will grow to 10 times its original size, to include a surf simulator, lazy river and seven new waterslides, plus an aqua-themed nightclub.
