Caribbean Resorts Launch Last-Minute Specials
Targeting Americans who typically don’t use all their vacation time, Caribbean hotels and resorts are offering packages for last-minute attempts to use vacation time before the end of the year. The Radisson Aruba Resort & Casino offers Scuba in Aruba packages.
The Learn to Dive Program is seven nights, and includes accommodations, diving and instruction, tanks, weight belts and a welcome martini at the open-air Mira Solo, starting at $2,899. The Unlimited Diving package starts at $2,889 and includes accommodations, unlimited dives and a welcome cocktail at the resort’s popular martini bar.
In the Bahamas, Club Peace and Plenty, with 32 rooms, including three two-room suites overlooking Elizabeth Harbor on Great Exuma Island, offers the fourth night free in January 2008 to celebrate the resort’s 50th anniversary.
In Bermuda, Happy Holiday Homes is offering the Bonaire Family Special package through December 15. For $936 including taxes, the package includes a seven-night stay in a two bedroom bungalow with kitchen, car rental with car seat, baby crib, baby chair, child safe furnishing, and private fenced tropical garden.
In Dominica, Castle Comfort Lodge offers the 7 Night Dive Adventure Package, with seven nights accommodations, seven breakfasts, welcome drink, roundtrip airport transfers, five days of two tank morning boat dives, unlimited shore diving, use of sea kayaks, whale watching trip, land adventure trip, taxes and service charges.
Jungle Bay Resort & Spa offers a Girlfriend’s Getaway package. Included are five nights’ accommodations in a premium jungle cottage, airport transfers, all gourmet meals, four half-hour spa treatments and one full-hour girlfriends in-room massage for two, morning yoga or meditation, daily excursions including snorkeling and hiking, evening presentations, a poolside dinner and a breakfast in bed.
