Caribbean VeggieFest, Health Tourism & Spa Conference Ended Successfully

The inaugural Caribbean VeggieFest combined with the Health Tourism & Spa Conference now in its fourth year was held on March 15 and 16, 2008 at Rhodes Hall Plantation & Resort, Green Island, Hanover, Jamaica.

The conference theme, Caribbean Healing Streams of Wellness, sought to identify the healers, wellness healing modalities, how to develop Jamaican natural indigenous products, and catalyze the natural advantage in the industry.

The VeggieFest and Health Tourism & Spa Conference is a wellness experience which fulfils these objectives by demonstrating and teaching persons how to achieve a total state of wellness, as well as how to prosper from the business of wellness.

The success of the conference, attended by about 2,000 consumers & delegates, was largely due to the holistic atmosphere of the venue, the healthy food samples, indigenous & roots music, demonstrations combined with the lecture series which provided the educational component necessary to help bring about the desired healthy lifestyle changes.
