Carlson Hotels Revamps Management Team

Carlson Hotels Worldwide has promoted three executives as part of a restructuring that will focus on growing its portfolio of owned and managed hotels and expanding its franchise system.

William Sipple was named corporate vice president of development. He will oversee growth in the company’s portfolio of owned and managed hotels for all brands. Most recently, Sipple served as corporate vice president of development for Carlson’s full-service brands.

John Sturgess was appointed corporate vice president of franchise development. Most recently, Sturgess served as corporate vice president of development for Carlson’s select-service hotels.

Jeff Summers was named vice president of investment and analysis for Carlson Hotels Real Estate Company, the entity that owns all of Carlson’s corporate hotel real estate assets.
