Casa Dorada Promises Luxury in the Heart of Cabo San Lucas
Luxury hotel offerings within walking distance of the town of Cabo San Lucas have, up until now, been lacking, according to Thierry Baurez, director of sales and marketing at Casa Dorada Los Cabos Resort & Spa. But Baurez said he believed all that has changed with the soft opening of Casa Dorado in January.
Located on Medano Beach, the 186-room resort will have its grand opening in May. The property, according to Baurez, is the first five-star hotel in the heart of Cabo San Lucas.
Casa Dorada, a member of Preferred Hotels & Resorts, has 13 penthouse suites, ranging in size from 2,000 to 4,500 square feet, all of which face the Land’s End natural rock formation.
The hotel’s 12 Tribes restaurant features the creations of executive chef Fabian Rios, who has chosen ingredients from 30 different nations to form an eclectic gourmet menu. The restaurant also has a wine list with roughly 80 labels.
The other eatery, Maydan, serves casual fare for breakfast and lunch, including fresh, locally caught seafood. Also, Okianus offers casual food and bar service around the pool.
Casa Dorada’s children’s club offers supervised activities free of charge for its younger guests, ages 3 to 12. Kids under 12 stay for free at the property when sharing a room with their parents.
