Demand for Chile´s Hotels on the Rise

The Chilean hotel industry has accrued dramatically in recent months, soaring as much as 40 percent as a result of the opening to new outbound markets and the South American nation´s credentials as a solid ground for investment.

According to Teresa Solis, manager of the Gala de Viña del Mar Hotel, this increment is owed in part to an increasingly larger demand for hotel rooms on the part of foreign impresarios willing to hold their working meetings in that country.

“A few years ago, most of the demand was hinging on neighboring nations and countries within the region,” she said. “Now things have changed and the biggest chunk of our guests hails from Europe, the U.S. and Asia.”
