Divi’s Caribbean Properties Getting Makeovers, Expanding in 2007

Expansion and construction highlight Divi Resorts’ theme for 2007 at six of its eight Caribbean properties. A rundown of lodgings and resorts to get a new lease on life include the Divi Aruba Phoenix Beach Resort, in Aruba where work continues on the 140-suite addition planned in four eight-story buildings.

The foundation work is underway and the units are scheduled to open in spring 2008. The resort currently offers 101 units.

High on the list is the Divi Village Golf & Beach Resort, also in Aruba. Construction on 52 more golf villas is scheduled for by mid-year to join the 82 already finished. A total of 240 golf villas are planned. Two new restaurants have opened at the Links at Divi Aruba golf course clubhouse.

The Divi Southwinds Beach Resort, in Barbados, is making guestroom renovations in its 58 pool- and garden-view suites to be completed by early spring.

The Divi Flamingo Beach Resort & Casino in Bonaire is making renovations to the Touch, its on-site spa has been completed and the resort also now offers Wi-Fi and free Internet access throughout the property.

The Divi Little Bay Beach Resort in St. Maarten will be conducting a $25 million renovation program of guestrooms and public spaces as the resort is expanding its timeshare inventory.
