A new Spa featuring separate suites for guests will be opened this spring at the five-star flagship, Sun Village-Cofresi, in the Dominican Republic, according to Elliott, parent company of Sun Village Resorts.

The Spa at Sun Village Resort will feature indoor-outdoor treatment rooms, lush tropical gardens, and a serene Spa-only pool and sundeck. Additionally, 25 Oasis Spa rooms, including two suites, offer private Jacuzzis and views into the Spa gardens, pool or ocean.

“At Sun Village Resorts, we´re committed to promoting health, wellness and rejuvenation for our guests,” said Derek Elliott, president and CEO of Elliott. “That´s why we´ve designed a unique, encapsulating experience that brings new meaning to the word tranquility. One of our goals for each guest is to create a vacation environment that touches and involves all of the senses, reconnecting them with nature, a partner, or themselves.”

The decor of the new complex, which sprawls over more than 5,000 square

feet, fuses the soothing atmosphere of Southeast Asian Spas with the Caribbean

Elegance theme found throughout the resort. The Spa will complement the

resort´s focus on relaxation and reconnection that includes amenities such as

meditation and reading-only areas, beachside divans and a thatched dojo for

practicing the ancient art of Bujutsu and Ki-Do.

The company´s second property at Sun Village-Juan Dolio, slated to open later this year, will also feature an in-house Spa boasting state-of-the-art facilities.

Sun Village Resorts, the largest Canadian-owned resort company in the Dominican Republic, is managed and operated by Elliott. Sun Village-Cofresi is an all-inclusive luxury hotel with 305 rooms, seven swimming pools and five unique dining facilities.
