Dominican Republic’s Cap Cana Now Open for Business

Despite recent reports stating that the Cap Cana real estate and resort development in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, is on hold, there are in fact several hospitality products within the mega-development that are fully open and operational –and these hotels will continue to welcome guests with accommodations and services.

In addition, Cap Cana’s Marina, Punta Espada Golf Course and its more than 14 restaurant and bar facilities are currently open and operating as usual. Luxury Retreats at Cap Cana –the hospitality arm of the project- consists of several individual hotel products, including the Caleton Club & Villas, The Golden Bear Lodge & Spa, The Founders Condominiums and Aquamarina Luxury Residences. Luxury Retreats at Cap Cana operates as a separate entity from the real estate division.

The Caleton Club & Villas, the first property to open in the Luxury Retreats at Cap Cana portfolio, and The Founders Condominiums have been and will continue to welcome guests. Both are fully operational and available for bookings and both are showing near full occupancy for the upcoming Christmas holiday season.

In addition to these two properties, the Luxury Retreats at Cap Cana portfolio also includes the Aquamarina Condominiums and Golden Bear Lodge & Spa offerings, which are both scheduled to open on time, Dec. 15. Aquamarina is also showing no available inventory for the Christmas holiday, while Golden Bear Lodge & Spa does have bookings available.
