Doubletree Makes Caribbean Debut

The opening of the 184-room Doubletree by Hilton in San Juan marked the arrival of the Doubletree brand in the Caribbean. The property, formerly the Best Western Hotel Pierre, underwent a year-long, $20 million renovation of rooms, public areas and meeting space.

Located next to the Museo de Arte in San Juan’s Condado section and within walking distance of the beach, the hotel offers in-room Internet, flat-screen TVs, a microwave and mini-fridge in all guestrooms as well as a full-service business center, Wi-Fi , four meeting rooms, a fitness center, bar and restaurant. Rates begin at $189 per room, per night, single or double.
