Dreams Resorts Brand to Debut in the Dominican Republic
AMResorts, parent company of Dreams Resorts & Spas brand, will debut the Dreams Punta Cana Resort & Spa property in December following a multi-million dollar enhancement of the existing Sunscape the Beach Punta Cana resort.
The all-inclusive, 620-room property will be the first resort in AMResorts’ Unlimited-Luxury category and the first Dreams Resorts & Spas in the Dominican Republic.
Facilities include a free-form pool, which wraps around the hotel and winds from the lobby down to the beach. The pool, one of the largest in the Caribbean, the company said, is complete with waterfalls and swim-up bars.
Also offered will be 24-hour room service; meetings space and a business center; a spa; and a variety of kids programs.
Guest rooms will feature hydrotherapy tubs, hammocks outside all ground-floor rooms and suites, Wi-Fi access and an illuminated do-not-disturb system for each room. The Preferred Club will offer daily afternoon and evening hors d’oeuvres, 24-hour concierge service and upgraded amenities.
The property’s nine existing restaurants and bars will be enhanced with new furniture, sound and light systems, redesigned kitchens and a wine cellar. In addition, a seafood restaurant, called Oceana, and a crepes restaurant, called Crepes & Co., will be added, offering a total of 11 dining and beverage outlets.
