Excelencias Group Presents Special Publications at 2014 FITCuba

An effective communication support, with specialized service to fulfill its clients’ needs, which presently features 35 publications and products spread in seven languages, that’s how its president, Mr. José Carlos de Santiago, defined the potential of Excelencias Group.

During a special presentation within the framework of 2014 FITCuba, the also chief editor of this Spanish business group said that Excelencias Turísticas del Caribe y las Américas magazine is aimed, among other things, at showing the wonders of Cuba to the rest to the world, by means of an enjoyable and colloquial language that transmits the matchless beauty of its nature, its patrimonial cities and history.

José Carlos de Santiago asserted that the Group has been characterized by doing something different, shedding light on the potential of the island, showing that the gastronomy growths, gets improved and is more effective.

Mr. José Carlos de Santiago commented that important companies like Habanos S.A. have counted on the Group to foster and present their products, since Excelencias has an exclusive issue dedicated to the Habano Festival.

Excelencias Gourmet magazine is another flagship product with an editorial line that targets the world of wine and restaurants, as well as the services linked to this segment.
It’s mainly interested in putting on the map everything related to this sector, including history, traditions, present technologies, as well as contents on wine and the overall gourmet sphere, he said.

One of the most remarkable products the Group has recently rolled out was the gastronomic directory with over 1,000 restaurants, bistros, cafeterias and bars in Cuba, including the private sector, which can be found in both printed and digital versions, as well as an app for cell phones, he told the attendees.

The Group’s president also recalled the first International Gastronomic Seminar for Cuban professionals from the state-run and private sectors, dedicated to the culinary world.

Caribbean News Digital (CND) is a digital publication with 7 editions into 5 languages, aimed at professionals from the tourism world —he specified— and it is one of our far-reaching products. It’s a platform to reflect tourism developments interrelated with different segments in the Caribbean-America-Europe area, and it fulfills the communication need between entrepreneurs and executives from these geographic regions.

José Carlos explained that it is distributed for free by means of Excelencias Group’s mailing service, and counts over 372,000 readers.

Arte por Excelencias, another significant product, targets visual artists, art critics, curators, researchers and museographers, as well as people, galleries, museums and institutions interested in been posted on every development in the scope of visual creation, through press releases, interviews and up-to-date and reliable assessments, he added up.

As for the new projects, De Santiago announced the digital publication of CND Cuba, in an effort to customize Cuba product for tourism. It includes pieces of news that are interesting to the island’s outbound markets, with the support of Mintur institutions.

This is all joined by the publication of Cuba’s Gastronomic Maps, with an approach to Cuban cuisine in cities, patrimonial villages, and such special products as coffee, chocolate and habanos.
