The Fairmont Mayakoba, in the heart of a new resort complex on the Mayan Riviera, is set to open on April 1 this year.

The distinctive nature of this Fairmont resort is evident from the moment you arrive.

To maintain the authenticity and delicate ecology, vehicles are parked in a main lot and transportation throughout The Fairmont Mayakoba is accomplished via roofed boats, electric golf carts, bicycles or on foot.

Sheltered under the forest canopy, the 397-room property´s distinguishing features include a Willow Stream spa with treetop treatment areas, a secluded beach alongside one of the world´s largest reefs, two infinity edge pools, signed nature trails, five restaurants and a private island suite.

The Fairmont Mayakoba´s oversized rooms and suites echo the ambiance of an elegant Mexican home, in a mellow, sun-bleached palette of gold, soft reds and oranges.

The generous spa-style bathrooms feature deep soaker tubs and separate glass-walled showers which face into plant-filled, enclosed terraces.

All accommodations offer high-speed Internet access, LCD televisions, DVD and CD players. Each room also has a balcony or terrace with views of ocean, lagoons, mangroves, jungle or golf course.

Accommodations, including 34 suites, are located in the low-rise main complex or clustered in two-story casitas located throughout the property.

A 20,000 square foot Willow Stream spa features 20 treatment rooms including a unique couple´s suite in the treetops, plus two mineral pools and steam rooms. A thoughtfully crafted menu of services includes exclusive Willow Stream treatments, some of which incorporate indigenous ingredients and ancient native traditions, as well as the award-winning spa´s signature experiences.

The Fairmont Mayakoba has been carefully designed to harmonize with its surroundings, respecting the mangrove forest and its abundant wildlife.
