Four Seasons at Mexico’s Punta Mita Adds Culture Program

Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita’s on-property Cultural Center is offering three programs based on Mexican cultural arts from the study of ancient artists to modern day interpretations of centuries-old artistic technique and crafts, the new programs provide guests with an interactive look at the unique artistic history of Punta Mita.

“The Cultural Center’s new programs are part of the resort’s on-going efforts to acquaint guests with the region’s fascinating history and culture,” said Rebeca Selley, resort manager. “Our guests have always shown an interest in the area’s unique art offerings and often purchase special pieces to take home with them. Because of this, we decided to make the arts a focus of our new programs.”

The three new programs include: History of the Toltecs, Mexican Cigars, and Mexican Style and Design. The Mexican Style and Design Tour takes guests on a sort of cultural journey that highlights a variety of interesting ancient and modern-day artistic styles including Polvo De Agua Ceramics, Alebrijes (popular wood animal figures), Huichol Art, Mata Ortiz Ceramics, Brondis and more.

Opened in September 1999, Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita includes 141 guest rooms and 32 suites housed in Mexican-style casitas. Amenities include three pool areas, an 18-hole championship golf course, the full-service Apuane Spa, private resort yacht, four restaurants, tennis courts, the Kids For All Seasons program and a cultural center.
