Grand Velas All Suites Resort Opens on Riviera Maya

Mexican President Felipe Calderon Hinojosa led the inauguration ceremony for the Grand Velas All Suites & Spa Resort Riviera Maya, an exclusive resort of 490 extremely luxurious and private suites, in the Mexican Caribbean.

Accompanied by the Federal Secretary of Tourism Rodolfo Elizondo Torres, the State Governor Felix Gonzalez Canto, the Municipal Solidarity President C. Roman Quian Alcocer, and the President of the Board of Directors Eduardo Vela Ruiz, the president cut the ribbon and unveiled the inaugural plaque for this majestic property which required an investment of $250 million that was 100 percent Mexican.

With the opening of this new property, Grupo Velas offers a total accommodation of 1,170 luxurious suites distributed over four hotels –the Velas Vallarta Suites Resort & Convention Center and Casa Velas Hotel Boutique, both located in Puerto Vallarta; the Grand Velas All Suites & Spa Resort Riviera Nayarit; and the Grand Velas All Suites & Spa Resort Riviera Maya.
