Grenada´ Blue Horizon Garden Resort Expected to Implement No Smoking Policy
In keeping with its environmental efforts to remain in the green, Blue Horizons Garden Resort in Grenada has introduced a no smoking in-room policy applicable to all 32 accommodations. This new policy does not make Blue Horizons a “no smoking” resort. Guests, however, may smoke on the patios or in any open-air space throughout the property.
“We instituted this policy in order to keep the air in our guest rooms clean and fresh, which is right in line with our efforts to enact ´green´ measures throughout the property,” said Arnold Hopkin, owner/manager of Blue Horizons Garden Resort, a Green Globe benchmarked hotel for its impressive environmental initiatives.
Blue Horizons reopened in July 2005 following an all-out $1.5 million refurbishment project prompted by the devastating path of Hurricane Ivan the year before.
