Hilton Cancun Gives Golf Course New Lease on Life
The sounds of spectacular drives and incredible putts will once again be music to the ears of avid golfers at the Hilton Cancun Golf & Spa resort, as the course reopens after a $6 million renovation.
The much anticipated reopening of the Hilton Cancun’s world class 18-hole, par-72 championship golf course kicked off on December 16 with a golf tournament benefiting the Juan Jose Arreola Technical High School where guests were sheltered during Hurricane Wilma.
The stunning and spectacular 6,735-yard course and club are surrounded by natural beauty, exotic wildlife (wild peacocks, watchful iguanas, and sunbathing crocodiles), and indigenous flora and fauna.
Golfers will appreciate and enjoy brand new tee-to-green Paspalum Sea Isle 1 turf in addition to gorgeous views of the turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea and the azure Nichupte Lagoon.
A $1.5-million irrigation system ensures that the course will remain in optimum condition year-round. Moreover, the course boasts a renovated practice facility, including driving range and putting green, deluxe golf carts and a top-quality pro shop offering the latest in golf equipment, fashion and apparel.
Set in a 150-acre tropical paradise, the world class golf course is open to all. The standard high season rate of $199 USD includes the round of play, golf cart, and all taxes. The Hilton Cancun Golf & Spa Resort reopened in May 2006 after an impressive $43 million renovation of the entire resort.
Renovations included the complete restoration of Cancun’s world-famous white soft sandy beach, a new lobby and guest reception, updated meeting facilities, and new decor and furniture in the resorts guestrooms and suites.
