The Hotusa Group continues its expansion program in South America with the purchase of the Claridge Hotel in Buenos Aires (Argentina).

The five-star hotel will join the Eurostars Hotels chain, but will keep its name in order to conserve the family spirit that has made it famous throughout its 60 years of history.

In the words of Amancio Lopez, Chairman of the Hotusa Group, the company is enormously satisfied with the acquisition of one of the most prestigious establishments in Buenos Aires.

“This will allow us to continue enriching the Eurostars Hotels portfolio, directed primarily towards business clientele, with hotels of high standing, as has been the case of the Eurostars Montgomery in Brussels, or the two hotels recently purchased in Mexico City,” Mr. Lopez pointed out.

In August, the group acquired two five-star establishments in Mexico City, the Eurostars Zona Rosa Suites and the Eurostars Suites Michelangelo –currently undergoing complete renovation of the buildings- to join the Hotel Suites San Marino, purchased at the end of 2005.
