Hyatt Dorado Beach Completes Five-Year, $12 Million Golf Upgrade

The Hyatt Dorado Beach Resort & Country Club opened its new Plantation Club House and Pavilion, Zafra Restaurant & Lounge and the upgraded Sugarcane and Pineapple golf courses, previously known as the North and South courses.

The $3 million upgrade includes six new holes, four redesigned holes, the addition of a driving range and new lakes and rivers.

Adjoining the $6.5 million clubhouse and Zafra restaurant is a pavilion for golf tournament groups, weddings and private functions of up to 300 people.

The opening of these facilities completed Hyatt´s $12 million, five-year golf investment project.

The 1,000-acre resort has seven beaches; three miles of marked nature trails; four Robert Trent Jones, Sr. golf courses; 13 tennis courts; four pools and one water sports center; a Camp Hyatt kids´ club; two spa locations; a casino; seven retail shops; a business center; and 21,000 square feet of meetings space.
