Hyatt will return to Mexico City after an absence of more than 20 years when the Park Hyatt Mexico City-Reforma opens in 2009. It will be managed by Hyatt and developed by GICSA, a Mexico-based real estate development firm.

The luxury, 150-room hotel, the first Park Hyatt in Mexico, will open in the Capital Reforma development, a new, multiuse complex of office space, shops and high-end residences. The hotel will feature two restaurants, a lounge and bar, a two-floor spa and ample meetings space.

Hyatt officials said the Park Hyatt Mexico City-Reforma is the first in a series of new properties the company is planning to add to its Mexico portfolio during the next few years in both city and beach locations.

Hyatt International currently operates five hotels in Acapulco, Cancun, Merida and Villa Hermosa.
