Hyatt Resorts Caribbean to Take on Major Revamps in 2006

A flurry of activity will take place across Hyatt Resorts Caribbean during 2006, with major renovations planned.

Renovations include the Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort & Casino. Similarly, Hyatt Dorado Beach Resort & Country Club has completed its new $6.5 million golf clubhouse and golf pavilion, as well as the total renovation of all four Trent Jones, Sr. designed golf courses.

And with groundbreaking for the new Hyatt Regency Curacao and Hyatt Regency Trinidad already underway, there is plenty to celebrate in the New Year.

Creating a buzz in the Caribbean is the $20 million refurbishing at Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort & Casino, commencing in June 2006.

Full renovation of the property´s 360 guest rooms, lobby area, ballrooms, Stillwater Spa, Copacabana Casino and Palms Restaurant and Beach Bar is scheduled for completion in Fall 2006.

The contemporary new guestrooms comprise shades of coral and green with contrasting blood-red glass light fixtures, rich white decorative pillows, sisal headboards and soft throws as well as mahogany covered bureaus with a signature orchid in each room.

Guests will also be able to relax in front of their own Plasma TV with high speed internet. Bathrooms feature modern granite counter tops, marble floors and Moen fixtures throughout, with ocean-facing bathrooms being given windows directly overlooking the water.

The newly designed public areas at the resort will see the introduction of brown wicker accented lounges along the walkways with the lobby providing guests with a clean, light and airy haven to relax in with dark wooden floorboards, white muslin drapes and contemporary white sofas.
