Iberostar Experiences Increase in July Bookings

John Long, vice president of Iberostar Hotels & Resorts, tells TravelPulse.com that as of Friday, June 19, the company saw a 10 percent increase in bookings for July. “Every week, it’s been going up a few percentage points and then on Friday we saw it pick up in a single for a month,” he said. “If we sustain that pace, we could be 15 to 20 points ahead by the end of June.”
He also adds that the Iberostar Cozumel in Mexico is the biggest seller at the moment, which he notes has traditionally been the case after past hurricanes have disrupted travel to Mexico. “The airlift to the destination is great and the resort attracts a mix of guests, from divers to travelers just looking to relax,” Long said.
The all-inclusive resort company’s Kid’s Stay Free Promotion has no doubt helped to increase bookings. Available through December 2009, the offer represents a $70 to $100 savings per night, per child (maximum two children) at a number of Iberostar’s family-friendly all-inclusive properties.
In Mexico, the offer must be booked by June 30, 2009, for travel through Dec. 23, 2009, with black-out dates from Nov. 26 to 29, 2009. Participating Iberostar resorts in Mexico include Pariaso Maya; Pariaso Del Mar; Paraiso Beach; Tucan; and Quetzal. Booking and travel dates are the same at Iberostar’s two Dominican Republic properties in Punta Cana and Dominicana.
Black-out dates are from Nov. 16 to 29, 2009. In Jamaica, the same booking and travel dates also apply, but there are no black-out dates. The offer is available at Iberostar Rose Hall Suites and Iberostar Rose Hall Beach.
