Iberostar Hotels Report Sales Boost for 2007
Iberostar Hotels reported sales of 808.3 million euros for 2007, an 11 percent increase from the previous period (728.5 million euros). The company’s portfolio includes 97 hotels and 32,800 guestrooms, which it has consolidated through ambitious projects. This growth is also reflected in the hotel chain’s personnel, which surpasses 20,000 employees.
For Iberostar, 2007 was a year of growth and advancement. By capitalizing on new business opportunities and acquisitions, the company’s growth strategy has allowed the hotel chain to expand its travel leisure concept, which is characterized by high standards of service and quality.
With this same philosophy, the company expects to open more than seven new hotels this year; two of these correspond to its high-end line, Iberostar Grand Hotels, which reflect the latest hotel trends, unparalleled service, best-kept grounds and the most complete all-inclusive offerings.
In 2008, Iberostar will offer a total of eight hotels under the “adults-only” concept (Iberostar Suites hotel Jardin del Sol, Majorca; Iberostar. Grand Hotel Paraiso, Mexico; Iberostar Grand Hotel Trinidad, Cuba; Iberostar Cavtat, Croatia; Iberostar Grand Hotel Bavaro, Dominican Republic; Iberostar Grand Hotel Rose Hall, Jamaica). Iberostar also unveiled its new website, which features a more efficient search engine, easy navigation, current visual concepts and a simplified booking process.
