InterContinental Adds Crowne Plaza Hotel de Mexico to Portfolio of Upscale Hotels
InterContinental Hotels Group, the largest hotel group by number of rooms, announced last week the addition of its newest 310-room Crowne Plaza hotel in Mexico City.
The InterContinental Hotels Group portfolio in Mexico is represented by five of its brands including the upper upscale, upscale, full service, limited service and upscale extended stay segments with more than 80 hotels and nearly 14,000 rooms.
“The Crowne Plaza Hotel de Mexico is a tremendous addition to our portfolio,” said Kevin Kowalski, vice president, brand management, Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts. “We look forward to providing our industry leading meetings service and a great night´s sleep via our Sleep Advantage program to all our guests in Mexico City.”
The new ten-story property features state-of-the-art in-room amenities including a custom music feature, custom temperature control and In-Room Business Center fully equipped with a computer and complimentary unlimited high-speed Internet access.
The hotel also offers its Ladies First Program, in which designated rooms for women offer additional lighting and mirrors as well as a high powered hair dryer and hair iron. All guests can make pillow selections from an in-room pillow menu.
Located in the central part of Mexico City, the property is adjacent to the World Trade Center and within walking distance to several restaurants and shops as well as the Polyforum Siqueiros cultural center, which displays the world´s largest mural. The Mexico City World Trade Center Conference Center, Latin America´s largest conference center, is also next to the hotel.
