InterContinental Hotels Group Announces Opening of Mexico´s First Staybridge Suites

InterContinental Hotels Group, the world´s largest hotel group by number of rooms, announced recently the opening of Mexico´s first Staybridge Suites hotel in Monterrey.

“The introduction of the Staybridge Suites hotel concept in Mexico underscores our development success in the U.S. and the consistent above-market performance of Staybridge Suites and the extended stay segment overall,” said Robert Radomski, vice president of brand management, Staybridge Suites.

Plans for further expansion of Staybridge Suites outside the U.S. include developments in Puebla, Mexico, Canada and the United Kingdom.

The hotel is located in Monterrey´s most exclusive business and financial district known as Del Valle of San Pedro Garza Garcia. Several key businesses are close by, such as American Express and General Electric.

The popular shopping area known as Centrito Valle is just minutes from the hotel while Plaza Sesamo Park and Glass Museum are just a short drive from the hotel.

The Staybridge Suites Monterrey-San Pedro is owned and managed by Operadora de Suites, S.A. de C.V., under a license agreement with a company in the InterContinental Hotels Group.
