Jamaica Lures Spanish Hotels

The Jamaica Tourism Board informed this week that a group of Spanish hotel chains are currently pouring a figure in the neighboring of $600 million into the building of a baker’s dozen new hotels on the island nation.

More recently, Iberostar Hotels & Resorts decided to invest $100 million to construct a new 950-room resort in Rose Hall specially designed for family travel.

The first stage of the five-star lodging includes the building of 350 rooms. The RIU company, presently operating a couple of establishments in Negril, started breaking ground for another hotel in Mammee Bay last year.

For its part, the Pinero Group is planning to build three resorts in the destination of Santa Ana.
