Jumby Bay to Reopen in December

Jumby Bay, a private-island resort off the northwest coast of Antigua, will reopen Dec. 1 following a $28 million renovation. Accommodations include 40 redesigned guestrooms and 16 suites.

The Rosewood-managed resort has been closed since June 2008. New facilities will include the Sense spa, the open-air Verandah restaurant and a bistro-style eatery overlooking the new infinity pool.

All-inclusive rates through Dec. 18 start at $1,150 per night, double, plus tax and service charge. Winter rates from Jan. 6 through April 10 will start at $1,395 per night, double. Jumby Bay also will debut seven new estate homes. Each home is 9,750 square feet with prices from $15 million.
