Lufthansa Introduces Mobile Version of MySkyStatus

Lufthansa has introduced a mobile-friendly version of its MySkyStatus social networking tool, which automatically sends flight status updates to users’ Facebook and Twitter accounts as well as through personalized emails.

The application is among a selection of free mobile services Lufthansa offers to accommodate increased demand among travelers. No matter what airline they’re flying with, passengers can use MySkyStatus to post regular updates about their travel plans, including departure and arrival times, as well as their reason for flying. The airline recognizes that consumers are increasingly using smartphones instead of their laptops while they travel.
