Well, it just so happens that Marriott Hotels is offering some major discounts in the Sunshine State this summer season. Travelers who book two nights or more from April 13 to Oct. 5 by March 31 will be granted savings of up to 20 percent.

Four different Marriott brands are participating in the promotion, including Courtyard, Residence Inn, SpringHill Suites and Fairfield Inn & Suites, accounting for 33 Florida locations. Rates are starting at just $75 per night.

All participating hotels also feature free Wi-Fi. SpringHill Suites and Fairfield Inn & Suites guests will receive a free complimentary breakfast buffet. Select hotels will offer a late 2 p.m. checkout, based on availability.

Beyond the pools, fitness centers, comfortable guest rooms and suites and flat-panel TVs that accompany each Marriott Hotel, the location obviously isn’t bad, either. Florida is known for its major theme parks and attractions, great cuisine (including some mouth-watering seafood), beach and underwater activities and more. It’s no wonder why tourism continues to soar in the state.

Last year, Florida broke its tourism record for the fourth straight year, welcoming in 97.3 million visitors. The state has been included among the hottest spring destinations this year across numerous publications. And with Disney World looking to build new “Avatar” and “Star Wars” attractions in the coming years to compete with another major tourist draw—Universal Orlando—chances are tourism isn’t going to slow down anytime soon in the Sunshine State.

The latest deal courtesy of Marriott Hotels certainly figures to coax more visitors to Florida, as the state continues to look forward after some impressive tourism years.

To be eligible for the Marriott Hotels summer discounts, travelers must book reservations online at www.marriott.com or by calling 1-800-228-9290 and using promotional code SUM.
