Resort in St. Martin Becomes Key Element for Carlson’s Caribbean Expansion

The new Radisson Resort St. Martin scheduled to open in the summer of 2008 will be a key in the expansion in Central America for Carlson Hotels Worldwide. The beachfront resort property was previously known as L’Habitation de Lonvilliers Resort.

Carlson will be investing over $80 million in the resort including extensive renovations and new construction to create a luxurious second flagship Radisson Resort in the Caribbean, complementing the existing Radisson Resort in Aruba.

“Radisson Resort St. Martin will be a major part of the renaissance of the island’s French side, offering an upscale resort experience in the exotic and relaxing environment of St. Martin,” said Yvonne La Penotiere, president of Carlson Hotels Worldwide – Americas Division.
