Rezidor Unveils Plans for Hotel Missoni in Brazil

The Rezidor Hotel Group, the Brussels-based hospitality management company, is planning its fifth Hotel Missoni, the luxury lifestyle hotel brand created in partnership with the Italian fashion and interiors house.

Scheduled to open in 2012, Hotel Missoni Ilha de Cajaiba, Brazil will offer 118 guestrooms, including 48 suites, as well as 32 villas with golf facilities and oceanfront views.

The first Hotel Missoni debuted in Edinburgh, Scotland, in June 2009. Future developments include properties in Kuwait City, Kuwait (2009); Cape Town, South Africa (2010); and Jebel Sifah, Oman (2011). Hotel Missoni Ilha de Cajaiba, Brazil will also be the first Rezidor development in the Americas.

The resort will feature the signature culinary offerings of Cucina and Bar Missoni, a private beach and swimming pool, as well as access to the island’s premier golf course, yacht club, marina, spas, heliport, conference center, water sports and retail shops.

Hotel Missoni Ilha de Cajaiba will be part of an eco-friendly resort development on Cajaiba, an island paradise situated within the Bahia de Todos os Santos (All Saint’s Bay) and lined with palm trees, mangroves and idyllic beaches.

The resort is located 2.5 miles from the international airport and Salvador, capital city of tropical region Bahia, nicknamed the “Heart of Brazil.” Hotel Missoni is developed as a new and distinctively different kind of lifestyle hotel targeting well-traveled individuals with a strong interest in design, an appreciation for great food and wine, a belief in authenticity, and a cognizance of culture from a contemporary point of view.
