RIU’s First City Hotel to Be in Panama City

RIU Panama CityRIU Hotels & Resorts plans to open the 645-room RIU Panama Plaza Hotel in Panama City on Nov. 1, 2010. The hotel will be RIU’s first city property and the first in its RIU Plaza product line.

The $125 million property is located in the business and banking district of the capital city, 12 miles from Tocumen Airport. Facilities will include 17 conference rooms, a business center, four restaurants and bars, an outdoor pool, a health club and spa.

Guests in suites and executive rooms will have access to an executive lounge. Guestrooms will feature 24-hour room service, WiFi, a free mini-bar and a living area with workspace. WiFi also will be available in public spaces.
