Sandals and Beaches Resorts rolled out a line of new attractions, amenities and entertainment options that will launch at its 16 resorts this year, the company’s 25th anniversary year.

In 2007, Sandals Grande Antigua Resort & Spa will debut its $70 million, 180-suite Mediterranean Village expansion on Dickenson Bay beach in June. The soft opening date, originally set for February, was pushed back to June because of construction delays, according to John Lynch, executive vice president.

Sandals Grande St. Lucian Spa & Beach Resort rolled out its 10 suites late in 2006. The suites are 1,400-square-foot circular cottages that feature a private plunge pool and whirlpool, 52-inch plasma TVs, and private butler service.

Sandals Regency St. Lucia Golf Resort & Spa at La Toc will debut its $3 million new room category late this year: seven Sunset one-bedroom Villa suites with a private pool and a three-tiered deck. The suites will form part of Sandals Regency St. Lucia’s ocean bluff complex on a coral cliff set above the existing bluff suites.

Another room category will launch this summer when Sandals Negril in Negril, Jamaica and Sandals Royal Caribbean Resort & Private Island in Montego Bay, Jamaica open their River suites accommodations. Sandals Negril will offer 25 of the suites while Sandals Royal Caribbean will feature 10. Most open onto or overlook a lazy river and pool and all offer butler service and a butler pantry.

Meanwhile, Beaches Turks and Caicos will open its 180-suite Italian Village in the fall of 2008, which will feature separate bunk-bed rooms for children, Xbox game consoles and plasma TVs. Adult rooms feature a mahogany four-poster bed, their own plasma TV and bathrooms with twin sinks and Jacuzzi tubs.
