Sandals Grande Antigua Mediterranean Village Sets Opening

Some of Hollywood’s best-known celebrity couples will head to Sandals Grande Antigua Resort & Spa next month when the luxury resort unveils its new all-suite Mediterranean Village, a $70 million expansion of the property.

The grand opening celebration, taking place October 4-7, 2007, will welcome such stars as Lisa Rinna & Harry Hamlin, Brooke Burke & David Charvet, Stacy Keibler & Geoff Stults, Teri Polo, Stephen Colletti, Melissa Rivers, Kelly Killoren Bensimon and others joining Sandals Chairman Gordon “Butch” Stewart.

The three-day celebration will kick off Thursday welcoming VIP guests to the property with live rhythmic entertainment from Shaggy paired with Antigua culinary delights. Friday night’s celebration will include a headline celebration by Sean Paul while the Saturday night reception will feature DJ Splyce.

The 180-suite Mediterranean Village complements the resort’s existing 193-room Caribbean Village, providing guests with two different, yet well-matched luxury resort experiences, additional dining options, an expanded Res Lane spa, and a sixth pool, the largest in the Eastern Caribbean.
