Sol Melia Vacation Club Reports Revenue Growth

Sol Melia Vacation Club, a members-only organization that is part of Sol Melia Hotels & Resorts, reported a 22 percent increase in revenue in the first quarter of 2008 over the same period last year.

Sol Melia Vacation Club, which has enrolled more than 20,000 active timeshare members since its inception four years ago, will open new properties this year in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, and in the Canary Islands.

In addition, it will launch the second phase of its development project at Gran Melia Puerto Rico outside of San Juan.
