St. Lucia´s Le Paradis Hotel Set to Open in 2007
Le Paradis Hotel, a new luxury resort and condominium complex, has broken ground in Praslin Bay, halfway up St. Lucia´s East Coast, according to Kierron Dolby, managing director of DCG Properties, the development company.
The 554-acre site, located along two-and-a-half miles of coastline, reefs, small bays and peninsulas, is just south of the fishing village of Dennery and the Fregate Islands Nature Reserve.
Phase one of the development, which will be operational by March 2007, will include a 232-room, four-star branded hotel featuring a spa; an 18-hole golf course designed by Greg Norman and managed by Troon Golf; and conference facilities for up to 600 people.
Phase two, meanwhile, will include a 40-bed, five-star boutique hotel with a marina and a marina village encompassing inland waterways and moorings.
An announcement is expected shortly regarding which hotel firms will manage each of the two luxury properties, but a spokesman for the project said the hotels “will be U.S.-based with worldwide recognition and branding.”
