Starwood Hotels Celebrates Relaxed U.S. Passport Rules
To celebrate this summer’s suspension of passport requirements to Canada, the Caribbean and Mexico, Starwood Hotels & Resorts is offering great deals at many of its hotels and resorts in these destinations.
Under the new rules, U.S. citizens will be able to travel without passports to these destinations through Sept. 30, 2007, providing they show a receipt verifying they have applied for a passport. Starwood is offering packages at the Westin Aruba Resort, the Sheraton Grand Bahama Island Our Lucaya Resort, the Westin Resort & Spa, Los Cabos and the W Montreal among others.
Examples of summer savings include a $200 credit per room at Starwood’s resorts in the Caribbean, when guests present either a newly issued U.S. passport or official proof of application for passport. Participating resorts include the Westin Aruba Resort, the Westin Grand Bahama Island Our Lucaya Resort, the Sheraton Grand Bahama Island Our Lucaya Resort and Sheraton Cable Beach Resort.
Many of Starwood’s hotels and resorts in Mexico are extending a $100 credit per stay per person to be applied toward upgrades, food & beverage and spa services. Participating hotels include the Westin Resort & Spa Cancun, W Mexico City and the Sheraton Hacienda del Mar Resort and Spa, Los Cabos, among others.
