Travel Impressions Enhances Caribbean Product Offering
Travel Impressions, with a total of 37 more hotels in its Caribbean package portfolio for 2006, added Martinique and St. Barts as new destinations this winter, and enhanced its offerings to Puerto Rico beyond the San Juan area, according to Steven Gorga, president and CEO, bringing to more than 600 the number of hotels offered on 26 islands served.
“Quality is our focus, both in the destinations served and the hotel properties we offer,” Mr. Gorga pointed out. “With the increasing popularity of the French Caribbean, the time was right to add both Martinique and St. Barts and to expand our offerings in Guadeloupe.”
Travel Impressions features eight properties in Martinique, seven in St. Barts and seven in Guadeloupe [up from one last year]. Five properties joined the portfolio in Puerto Rico this winter, including Horned Dorset Primavera and Rincon of the Seas -- Grand Caribbean Hotel, both on Puerto Rico´s west coast.
“Agents are an integral part of our success. Providing the ability to earn commissions for selling the cancellation plan rewards them for promoting our products and services,” Mr. Gorga said.
The plan includes 24/7 worldwide access to the Travel Impressions hotline for agents, enabling them to assist clients if they require emergency assistance during their travels.
Mr. Gorga noted that the firm has had to “pay out a lot –millions of dollars, especially during this past hurricane season where we hired our own charter planes to evacuate clients in affected areas.”
The insurance plan, which is optional, is priced from $89 per adult and $45 for children 12 and under.
