Two W Hotels to Open in England in 2010

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. announced plans last week to open W Manchester in 2010, located in the warehouse district in Manchester, England. The Ian Simpson-designed hotel will boast approximately 160 guest rooms, 7,000 square feet of meeting and event space, a spa, fitness facility, a W Hotels The Store retail store, and a restaurant.

In London, meanwhile, the W London-Leicester Square and The Residences at W London-Leicester Square is scheduled to open later that year. The hotel will be built on the site of the former Swiss Centre building in the heart of Leicester Square.

When completed, the hotel will feature 194 guest rooms and 10 two-level residences, as well as a signature spa, fitness facility, a destination restaurant and a “Living Room” experience for socializing.
