Viva Wyndham Resorts has just put two brand-new hotels under its belt in the Dominican Republic, pushing the tally up to five lodgings in that Caribbean nation. The Viva Wyndham Samana and the Viva Wyndham Playa Dorada are now raising the chain’s stock of accommodations there to 1,473 rooms.

Viva Wyndham already owns the Viva Wyndham Dominicus Beach, the Viva Wyndham Dominicus Palace, both in La Romana, and the Viva Wyndham Tangerine in Cabarete. Now the company’s tourist offer has stretched out to the travel destinations of Puerto Plata and Samana.

In addition to this, Viva Wyndham Resorts is rolling out the red carpet for families just in time for summer travel in several Caribbean countries. Running July 1 through Aug. 31, 2005, kids 12 and under will eat, stay and play for free while staying with one paying adult at any of Viva Wyndham´s eight resorts in the Bahamas, Dominican Republic and Mexico.

"We believe that we´re able to offer a different type of vacation thanks to our kids programs, on-property entertainment and relaxed atmosphere, and want to ensure every type of family, from the largest to the smallest, is able to have that type of experience," said Ettore Colussi, president of Viva Wyndham Resorts.

While on property, popular family activities include snorkeling, kayaking, dance classes and pool-side games, along with Viva Wyndham´s celebrated nightly shows, which blend dancing, singing and acting with guest participation. Additionally, kids can take advantage of the renowned Viva Wyndham Kid´s and Junior´s Club, which offers daily scheduled activities such as archery, beach volleyball, sandcastle building, face painting, pool games, windsurfing and tennis. All activities are divided into age appropriate groups. Babysitting services are also available for a nominal fee.

Guests staying at any of the following Viva Wyndham properties will enjoy an all-inclusive vacation package that features accommodations; full breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks; unlimited beverages, cocktails and wine; daily activities and fitness programs; unlimited non-motorized water sports with complimentary lessons; enrollment in the Kid´s and Junior´s Club; live nightly entertainment; and all taxes, surcharges and gratuities
