With a view to highlight the importance of its inaugural flights to the Cuban capital, JetBlue is set to pay tribute to the largest Caribbean island’s distinctive cultural heritage at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport

The carrier will be launching two daily flights between San Juan and Tortola’s Beef Island International Airport beginning Dec. 19.

Caribbean carrier LIAT ended its partnership with Caribbean Helicopters, which had been operating service between Anguilla and Nevis, following the expiration of a short-term agreement on Nov. 19. LIAT hinted that the route wasn't profitable.

Lufthansa's budget airline Eurowings will launch flights with its fourth A330 from Cologne/Bonn to Orlando and Seattle from July 2017. There will be twice-weekly services to Orlando and three weekly flights to Seattle.

The ticket office, located in the popular area of "La Rampa" in downtown Havana, opened its doors last week and is receiving a warm welcome by hundreds of Cuban customers wanting to travel to Miami, a natural destination for Cubans, as well as other locations across the globe.

Thomas Cook Airlines’ inaugural Tobago flight took off earlier, reinforcing its 17-route-strong long-haul portfolio, which already makes it the largest carrier to the USA from Manchester.
