United said it will begin daily nonstop service between Los Angeles and Hong Kong on 747 aircraft and add seasonal nonstop service between Washington (Dulles) and Rio de Janeiro on 767 aircraft in October.
Both routes went on sale May 3.
Dominican Republic is Delta Airlines’ fourth largest destination, with 7 daily flights to Las Americas, Punta Cana, Puerto Plata and Santiago airports, a combination that makes the country an important market for the U.S.-based company.
The St. Kitts Tourism Authority has announced that American Airlines will be commencing a new flight from New York’s popular JFK International Airport to St. Kitts, the island’s first from this region. The flight will operate twice weekly, on Wednesdays and Sundays, beginning on November 18.
Caribbean Airlines will increase its flights between Trinidad and New York (John F. Kennedy airport), Trinidad and Toronto, as well as within the Trinidad-Guyana-Barbados triangle, beginning on June 1.
Copa Airlines, subsidiary of Copa Holdings S.A. announced it will offer new service from Panama and connections in Latin America to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, and Washington, D.C., in the U.S., beginning July 15.
American Airlines plans to launch new routes to and from the Dominican Republic on July 1 if the carrier’s recent applications to the Dominican Civil Aviation Board are approved.
