Policies and measures to promote universal accessibility in tourism will be at the center of the 1st UNWTO European Conference on Accessible Tourism, jointly organized by UNWTO and the Government of the Republic of San Marino in November 2014.

The Dominican Republic has officially kicked off its national tourism conference in the area of Punta Cana. DATE, the Dominican Annual Tourism Exchange, is being held this year at the Paradisus Palma Real hotel, which debuted its new, 42,000-square-foot Convention Center at the end of 2013.

The 2014 Cruise Shipping Miami conference and exhibition that ran from Monday, March 10 through Thursday, March 13, at the Miami Beach Convention Center posted record attendance and the largest exhibition in the event's 30-year history.

Also promoted at the Fair are 500 year-old cities, the International Tourism Fair FIT-CUBA 2014 –dedicated to France- and the reopening of the Havana-Martinique flights of Cubana Airlines, informed the Cuban Foreign Ministry's Web site.

The National Competitiveness Foundation of Armenia, along with 10 tourism companies, represented Armenia at the MITT International Travel & Tourism Exhibition in Moscow, Russia from March 19-22.

The National Tourism Authority (ANT) and seven specialized companies of Romania were attending the 21st edition of the Moscow International Travel and Tourism Exhibition MITT 2014, the largest specialized fair in Russia and Eastern Europe, between March 19 and 21.
