Dubai-based flydubai announced the launch of daily flights to Moscow, to start in September 2014, during the Moscow International Travel & Tourism Exhibition (MITT). Flydubai was launched in 2009 and entered the Russian market in its second year of operation.
Maria del Carmen Orellana, commercial director at the Cuban Ministry of Tourism, said Saturday that due to the large flow of Russian tourists to Cuba, this market is one of the most important for the island nation. Mrs. Orellana was attending the Moscow International Travel and Tourism (MITT) Fair.
A delegation from the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), headed by PATA Chief Executive Officer Mr. Martin Craigs and PATA Regional Director – East Asia, Ivy Chee, visited Moscow and Saint Petersburg.
This year’s Moscow International Travel and Tourism Exhibition (MITT) has grown by more than 13% in the number of international exhibitors. Ministers from Croatia, Malta and San Marino were in attendance at the official opening ceremony.
World Travel Awards (WTA), the “Oscars of the travel industry”, has unveiled plans to host its South & Central America Gala Ceremony in the historic city of Quito, Ecuador on August 9th 2014.
The event will be bringing together 50 local restaurants, wineries and beer and spirit companies at its tasting pavilion, joined by some of the best culinary talent from within the Caribbean and without.
